The Board of Governors of Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs Eileen Ziemer as the Chair of the Trust.

Mrs Ziemer will take up the appointment on 1 May 2009, for a term of three years. Mr Peter Dorr, Chair of the Trust’s Nominations and Appointments Committee of the Board of Governors, said: “Following the extensive open recruitment and selection process, the Board of Governors unanimously supported the appointment of Mrs Ziemer. We are pleased to have been able to appoint such an experienced and knowledgeable leader to this crucial position.”

Mrs Ziemer, a current Non-Executive Director with the Trust, was: “Delighted to have been given the opportunity to lead one of the best mental health trusts in the country.” Mrs Ziemer added: “We will be championing the needs of people with mental health problems and learning disabilities, ensuring that the Trust and other organisations do everything they can to reduce the stigma associated with mental health.”
