Staff Recognition Work Group (SRWG)

The SRWG was established in November 2008 to devise ideas on initiatives for staff recognition (financial and non-financial) that would assist in improving staff morale and productivity.

The group meets on a bi-monthly and includes front line members of staff and is driven by their initiatives and ideas, and via the Head of Human Resources, reports directly into the Workforce and Organisational Development Committee, which is chaired by the Chief Executive. This gives the group direct access to Senior Management to put forward their ideas for approval and give staff recognition a ‘fast track’ approach.

If you have any ideas that you wish to be considered by the group please contact Tony Kavanagh Head of HR on 01529 222278.

Engagement Action Group

The Engagement Action Group is headed up by the Chief Executive and aims to address issues highlighted by staff in a number of ways.  These include  formally within the Annual Staff Survey, during the Investors in People process and more informally through face to face discussions whilst in training, team meetings or at the Annual Chief Executive Roadshow. Our aim is to enhance and improve the working environment such that the services we offer are of the highest quality possible. We continue to work towards being the ‘Employer of Choice’ within the East Midlands region.

Staff Survey

LPFT has taken part in the Capita Health Partner Services Staff Survey for 6 years. The 2008 results provide confirmation that the majority of our staff feel that they have interesting jobs and work within a safe and supportive environment. Through a Working Group headed up by the Chief Executive, we strive to improve on areas highlighted in the survey including communication, involvement and being able to make a real difference to the lives of the service users we work with both directly and indirectly.

Healthcare 100

The Healthcare 100 Awards, researched by Ipsos MORI on behalf of HSJ and NT, and supported by NHS Employers, is based on the results of an exclusive poll of the employees of registering organisations.  It is open to both NHS and independent healthcare providers in the acute, primary care, mental health and ambulance sectors.

In 2008 Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust carried out a census survey of its workforce and was successfully shortlisted amongst the Top100 Healthcare organisations in the UK.
