Learning Disabilities

Long Leys Court is an assessment and treatment unit for adults with learning disabilities and associated healthcare needs that may include mental health issues, complex epilepsies and challenging behaviour primarily caused by deterioration in their physical or mental health.

Our qualified nurses have expertise in all aspects of learning disability and work in a holistic way with Psychology, Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy and Speech and Language Therapy to ensure a comprehensive approach to care.

Long Leys Court has 12 beds which are commissioned by Lincolnshire County Council for Lincolnshire residents and 4 beds which are available to commissioners outside of Lincolnshire.

Outpatients

Within Learning Disability Services, we have 4 consultant psychiatrists who hold regular clinics in venues across the county.  There is also an active epilepsy forum with degree level nursing and consultant psychiatrist input.  The forum facilitates a monthly epilepsy clinic and has developed an assessment process via an epilepsy tool, information booklets and seizure diaries.
