What is a Foundation Trust all about?

The Trust now has 8,339 membersLincolnshire Partnership NHS Trust became a NHS Foundation Trust on 1st October 2007 and we invite you to join us as a member. Mental ill health can affect anyone at anytime, which is why you should have the chance to be involved in how your local mental health services are run.

As a Foundation Trust, we have adopted a new style of working. Our Members, recruited from the local community join us in deciding how we will improve services. We plan and deliver services with local people, rather than give them what we think is best for them.

We hope that you, along with thousands of other people, will want to become involved with our work by becoming Members or perhaps by joining our Council of Governors, which advises the Trust’s Board of Directors. We need as many people as possible to become members so that we can capture a wide variety of different views.

If you represent a stakeholder organisation or community group, and would like us to come and talk to you about our Foundation Trust status and the benefits of membership, please contact the membership office.
